The counties of Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire had coalitions for many years consisting of local organizations, professionals, community members, and caregivers who joined together to share resources, provide education, and strengthen services for families affected by dementia.

Each coalition was dedicated to improving support and awareness for individuals living with dementia and the people who care for them. In 2023, the coalitions joined their neighboring counties, creating a regional network focused on collaboration, impact, and creating the Chippewa Valley Dementia Coalition (CVDC).

Today, the coalition continues to bring together community leaders, healthcare providers, and advocates working to build a more dementia-informed and supportive community.
